Below we ask you which of the following describes you. Our form only allows a few words, so here are the descriptions:

Heavy lifter: I can lift and carry furniture with a lifting partner and/or wheels.
Upcycler: I want to paint and/or rehab furniture.
Light lifter: I can do light lifting and other warehouse tasks.
Neat freak: I like to clean!
Deliveries: I'm interested in delivery days

Volunteer Waiver

This agreement releases Houses into Homes from all liability relating to injuries that may occur during the moving of furniture, beds, and household item(s) (inventory); cleaning or fixing inventory; and transporting inventory. By signing this agreement, I agree to hold Houses into Homes entirely free from any liability, including financial responsibility for injuries incurred, regardless of whether injuries are caused by negligence.

I also acknowledge the risks involved in the moving of furniture, beds, and household item(s) (inventory); cleaning or fixing inventory; and transporting inventory. These include but are not limited to injury, exposure to allergens, dehydration, and seasonal outdoor exposure (sunburn, windburn, frostbite). I am participating voluntarily, and all risks have been made clear to me. Additionally, I do not have any conditions that will increase my likelihood of experiencing injuries while engaging in this activity.

By signing this agreement, I forfeit all right to bring a suit against Houses into Homes for any reason. I will also make every effort to follow safety precautions. By signing below, I also agree to maintain confidentiality about the individuals and families who receive items from Houses into Homes and about any donations.

Volunteer Policies:

  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to Houses into Homes, including names, addresses, and other personal information about both recipients and donors.

  • Be respectful.

  • You are free to engage with recipients and donors. Because some of our recipients are coming out of difficult circumstances, however, please avoid asking personal information.

  • Do not take photos of recipients or their homes, inside or out.
